About

For over a decade, I dedicated myself to carpentry and construction work. In 2020, I embarked on a journey to refine my craftsmanship, focusing on fine woodworking techniques. This pursuit led me to deepen my skills through immersive training in Traditional Japanese Woodworking under a Master woodworker at the base of Mount Fuji, and further education in traditional Scandinavian timber framing in Europe.

Mission

I strive to craft enduring pieces that blend functionality with beauty, drawing from ancient woodworking traditions predating our own.

It all started with a birdhouse. As quaint as that sounds, that’s what set me on this path. Little did I know that foggy spring morning with my father spent picking through the damp pile of old redwood siding would be so fundamental to my life. After scraping the accumulated moss off the rough boards, we cut them to size and my father patiently helped me screw the sides of the box together and cut the door hole for the birds. We added the roof and finally mounted the house on a tall fence post. That first lesson in wood working began an obsession with the creation of useful and beautiful things. (Thanks Dad.) As I grew older, I noted a strange feeling of anxiousness that I later realized was pent up creativity. This energy drives me to push my abilities to their limits in order to create functional art that people can touch, feel, grasp, and enjoy for a lifetime. The honesty of a well-crafted piece of furniture and the satisfaction of a happy client give me the purpose to continue this journey. Come join me in this experience.
